Welcome! I'm Vijay Vadi, a Junior Computer Science major at Virginia Tech. I am also minorning in Entrepreneurship and New Venture Growth. My passion for both technology and business led me to start a social networking startup called pictopage in 2018 along with a various other projects. I also like to lead and work with teams. My most notable Leadership experience coming from Technology Student Association in 11th and 12th grade where I was the Virginia TSA State Sergeant at Arns. I plan on continuing to grow my business and/or leading at a existing tech company, maybe Apple.
My interest in technology and business has led me to start many exiting ventures over the years. The three that stand out are pictopage, OneWalk, and Acadia. Each of them were founded with the intention to solve problems that either haven’t been solved yet, or to provide a better product to compete with existing solutions.

pictopage corporation, formerly known as Page inc., is a social networking and telecommunications company. I founded pictopage on September 15, 2018 following four months of work on the prototype application “Pages”, a social media application. The app was designed around iOS using Swift, Apple’s native development language. In December of 2018, pictopage’s first employees joined the company’s development team. Currently development is ongoing and the application’s name has been changed to pictopage, or picto for short.

The app’s goal is to allow users to easily share content with who they want, when they want. Users cannot post to their own profiles, instead they will create “pages” where users will post content and add one another. The concept is best simplified as “a group chat for pictures” and aims to make the sharing process simple and flexible.

Acadia is a Learning Management platform that’s goal is to be a trailblazer in the Internet Education industry. Acadia aims to achieve this goal by using state of the art technologies and processes, such as Machine Learning, to create a software solution that is best for all aspects of the education industry. This includes students, teachers, parents, administrators, and even school districts. Acadia also aims to work on specific hardware solutions for a holistic line of products aimed to unify the education industry in way it hasn’t been before. The organizations mission is to “create products and services that help all students and anyone involved in the education industry.”

OneWalk is a Non-Profit that aims to bring innovative and cost effective traffic safety solution to the market. The first product the company is working on is called the “Onewalk One”, a Crosswalk Safety Light. The light is designed to attach to most existing crosswalk signs and offer a way for drivers to be alerted when someone is crossing. The light will be powered by a Solar Panel and will take input from a button or motion sensor. OneWalk aims to keep costs low by designing solutions that can be implemented in little time by anyone. This approach to solving this problem will make OneWalk signs 10 - 20 times cheaper than most competitors.
